John Hutt is founder and president of Vesta's sister company, Engelmann Real Estate Services, Inc., a real estate development company located in Pasadena.  Prior to founding Engelmann, John practiced law with Sidley Austin LLP in Los Angeles, California.  His practice concentrated on real estate development and land use law as well as mortgage finance, property sales, and restructurings.  He received his undergraduate degree from Cornell University and his Juris Doctorate with honors from the University of Michigan Law School.  John lives in Sierra Madre.  He is a former chairman and member of the City of Sierra Madre’s Planning Commission, and has served as chairman and a member of the City's Cultural Heritage Commission.
